Applications
Nano-cerium oxide has a strong ultraviolet absorption effect, and can be used as an ultraviolet absorber for sunscreen cosmetics, automotive glass, sunscreen fibers, coatings, plastics and other products. Cerium oxide is used in sunscreen cosmetics, which has no characteristic absorption of visible light, good transmittance and good effect of preventing ultraviolet rays. Moreover, amorphous silica coated on cerium oxide can reduce the catalytic activity of cerium oxide, thus preventing the discoloration and deterioration of cosmetics caused by the catalytic activity of cerium oxide.
