    Appearance is grey-black metal-like powder. It decomposes slowly at 400℃ and dehydrogenates completely at 600-800℃ in vacuum. High chemical stability, does not interact with air and water, but easily interacts with strong oxidants.

    Will not disintegrate if used and stored according to specifications. Avoid contact with moisture/moisture, acids, halogens, halocarbons, oxides. Avoid contact with water. Stable in air.

    Preparation method: Ti in a spongy or powdered form is placed in a glass tube and the air in the tube is expelled with hydrogen. The metal is heated in a pure hydrogen stream at 350 ~ 400 ° C, and the product is cooled in the hydrogen stream after excessive hydrogen is passed through.
    Note: Very dry and oxygen-free hydrogen must be used for hydrogenation. Because O2 and water vapor are effectively combined with Ti, and it is converted into titanium oxide.
    The titanium hydride obtained by this method is consistent with the chemical formula of TiH0.5 ~ TiH1.5. Compared with Ti, TiH2 has a grayer color and less stability. Heating to 800 ~ 1000℃ almost completely decomposed. So, in fact, TiH2 can't stand alone. Usually the solid solution composed of TiH1.8 ~ TiH1.99 is considered as TiH2.

    2. Iron dihydrogenation is very brittle, so it can be used for the manufacture of powdered titanium, it is also used for welding, iron dihydrogenation thermal decomposition, precipitation of new ecological hydrogen and titanium metal, the latter can promote the welding, and increase the strength of the weld.
    3. It can be used as the catalyst of polymerisation reaction.

    Storage conditions
    This product is vacuum-packed, should be sealed and stored in a dry, cool environment, should not be exposed to air for a long time, to prevent moisture agglomeration, affecting the dispersion performance and use of the effect.
